Why do we sell Pamper Hampers?
A big part of our ethos and goal is to convey that self-care is not just bubble baths and face masks – doing these things is healthy BUT you must have the right mindset and intentions when practising self-care. If you do not you may get out of the bath clean, but you spent the whole time worrying about what to cook for tea. Your mind and spirit got zero nourishment during the process.
We really want people to realise that self-care needs to focus on mind, body, and spirit.
Let’s look at a self-care bath or shower…
The more indulgent you can get, the better, as it reminds us that we are deserving of lovely things.
It also gives us the opportunity to practise gratitude to ourselves and our individual body parts.
Set the scene. Put on your favourite relaxing music. Light some candles for yourself or create comfortable lighting. Use your favourite bubble bath or shower gel or some new products from one of our vegan pamper hampers. Take slow, calm, deep breaths and really enjoy the scents and sounds. Enjoy the warmth of the water. Feel the softness of your skin, and be gentle with every part of you as if you were washing a newborn baby.
While washing, start on any body part you like, rubbing soap slowly and deliberately into your skin. Practise gratitude while doing this, thanking your skin for protecting you from the elements. Can you find a part of your skin that you like? How does it feel? What does this part have in common with other parts?
Expand on this until you can extend this gratitude to the whole of your skin.
Self-care like this will not only help you to appreciate yourself more, as you are intentionally showing yourself gratitude but it will also reduce your stress levels as you are living in that moment, intentionally using that time to care for your body and not living in the worries of the past or the future.
