The Invisible Doula
Sacred Support for the Dying and Their Loved Ones
What is The Invisible Doula?
A death doula offers non-medical support at the end of life — emotional, practical, and spiritual care for the dying and their loved ones. It’s a role of presence, not fixing. Of holding space, not taking over.
As The Invisible Doula, I work gently in the background so that the focus remains where it belongs — on the individual and their family.
You are the heart of this experience. My role is simply to support what matters to you, in the way that feels most meaningful for you.
That’s why I stay “invisible” — so you remain in control, empowered to shape this time with love, memory, and dignity.
I’m here to listen, guide, hold space, and when needed, create moments of ritual and calm.
Sometimes, just knowing someone is quietly there makes all the difference.
What I offer
Every journey is different. I shape my support around your needs, gently and intuitively. You remain in control — I simply walk alongside.
💧 Emotional & Spiritual Support
I offer calm, grounded presence during what can feel like a whirlwind. I listen without judgment, sit in silence when needed, and help make space for emotions — whatever they may be.
🌿 Gentle Ritual Creation
Whether it's lighting a candle, playing a favourite song, or creating a sacred goodbye — I help you craft small, meaningful moments that honour the life being lived and the love that remains.
🕊 Family Support & Guidance
I’m here for loved ones too — to answer questions, offer reassurance, or simply be a quiet anchor when things feel uncertain. Sometimes just knowing someone is calmly holding the space is enough.
🌙 After-Death Holding
If desired, I can stay after passing — to hold vigil, support initial care of the body, or help guide simple closing rituals. There is no rush. This time matters too.
📄 Resources & Reflections
I offer simple, free worksheets and gentle guides to help begin difficult conversations around death, dying, and grief.
Whether you're navigating your own journey or supporting a loved one, these tools can help open space for honesty, preparation, and connection.
While I don’t offer long-term grief support, I encourage those who need it to seek counselling or therapeutic guidance. Knowing when to reach for deeper support is a strength — not a weakness.
How to Contact Me
To keep this work gentle and intentional, all initial contact is by email.
This helps me protect the energy I bring to each family and ensures I can respond with the care you deserve.
I check messages [insert your preferred days/times here] and will respond as soon as I’m able.
For clients I am actively supporting, a phone number will be shared — so you can reach me if you need to, when it matters most.
