In the News!
Zara had the pleasure of being interviewed for the Caerphilly Observer this month for an article about well-being groups in the Caerphilly area helping men and women open up about their mental health.

We were very pleased to see they highlighted the state of the Mental Health service in Wales at the moment, and drew attention to the need for people to develop preventative skills to reduce the amount of us needing crisis services.
‘Given that in October 2022 nearly than 30,000 people in Aneurin Bevan Health Board were waiting for diagnostic and therapy services, according to Stats Wales, preventative measures can help not only individuals but also strained mental health services.’ (Caerphilly Observer, January 11th, 2023)
We want to provide preventative skills and approaches, encouraging everyone to take care of their mental health at all times and not just when in crisis or feeling unwell.
Senedd Research, (2022) looked at the impact of Covid 19 while looking towards the sixth Welsh Parliament. It stated, ‘It’s now clear that COVID-19 has had significant emotional impacts on the population. People have been exposed to greater levels of stress and anxiety as well as bereavement. They’ve also been less able to access their usual coping mechanisms (e.g. seeing friends and family, opportunities to exercise).’
It’s this loneliness and lack of connection that we hope to focus on supporting and developing through group work on dealing with stress and packaging mindfulness principles in a more relatable way.
We have Women’s Circles running in Llanbradach and Markham and are so grateful for everyone’s support with these. We are also very grateful for all who have attended our online circles and hope to be seeing some of you in person in 2023.
If you have any suggestions for areas to run a group then please get in touch. We want to make them as accessible as possible to as many women as possible.
